Shrimp import demand is expected to be more positive from the second quarter of 2023
Vietnam's shrimp exports in 2023 will face challenges from inflation, the global economic downturn affecting the consumption of major markets. Although the cost of farmed shrimp in Vietnam is still high, transportation costs are high, and some major shrimp producing countries have improved processing, in general, Vietnamese shrimp still have a great advantage in the market, especially in the high-end market segment.

Pangasius products with the advantage of affordable prices have become the right choice for many consumers around the world, so Vietnamese pangasius processing and exporting enterprises quickly increase their market share in other countries.
Inflation started affecting imports of pangasius in different markets
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) The nearly 2 billion USD of pangasius exports in the first 9 months of 2022 went beyond the expectations of Vietnam’s seafood industry.
